I don't want a diamond
that sparkles like dew.
I only want heaven,
and heaven is you.

I don't want things shiny,
I don't want things gold.
They're hard, they're lifeless
and so very cold.

I don't want the riches,
I don't want the fame.
Just give me your touch,
I'll whisper your name.

I don't want a mansion,
a castle high on a hill.
No servants or subjects
to bid me my will.

I just want the sun when
it shines in your eyes.
The sound of your laughter
til the day that I die.

I just want you with me,
to hold me so tight.
While we count all the stars
we wish on at night.

Don't give me a ruby,
keep the delicate pearl.
I want to be your lover,
your sweetheart, your girl.

I don't want big cars,
or cocktails at seven.
If you'd only have me...
...I would have heaven.

Heaven
